Books & More

As an author, I’m going to tell you something that is truly in character to my brand: reading is one of the best forms of education out there and often the best medicine. Write that one down and post it on your fridge because it’s a keeper.
I love to dive into good fiction novels as an easy escape from the world, but I’ve also found that in nonfiction books – even the creative nonfiction memoirs – there are absolute gems of advice, resources, and information to help you become whatever it is you want most in life. For that reason, I have a few types of nonfiction categories I refer to on the daily basis: books about spirituality, business books, and books on general relatable life advice. When it comes to fiction though, I’ve enjoyed and written all kinds of genres, from thriller to drama and romance, fantasy and science fiction, and action adventure!
On another hand, podcasts are a much newer trend that I fell in love with in 2020. Most of my podcast preferences are business related though, but I do have a few for general life advice that I enjoy and heavily rely on when I need motivation or guidance. Whatever your go-to way of learning is you’ll be sure to find something among my favorites that will help you on your personal and professional journey.
After graduating college in April 2019, I never thought I’d need to prioritize my own personal development, but I quickly learned that many of the skills I wanted or needed to have in life to succeed, hadn’t been taught to me in school.
If you’re someone like me who is constantly trying out new endeavors, taking on new business opportunities or projects, and just enjoys working on yourself as a person, you’ll find that educating yourself through a variety of platforms is actually crucial to growing into the boss babe you’re striving to become every day.
Books and podcasts are just a start – I often find myself diving into YouTube videos (the OG of free online education), investing in online courses provided by entrepreneurs and industry experts, and aligning myself with mentors and groups of entrepreneurs who have the same goals and want to work together to build our brands and businesses. I’ll be touching on a lot of these subjects in my blog posts, but if you have any additional questions or information about my own journey and how to kickstart yours, reach out to me on my Contact Page.
